The flat is located at the first floor of a historical building in Art Nouveau style (built in 1908) right in the centre of Trieste. It has a grand entrance decorated with statues, which opens to a huge interior garden.

The apartment has two bedrooms. The first room is a triple with a sofa bed and two single beds, and the second one with two single beds which can be transformed into a double bed. There is also a living room (with a sofa bed) with a roomy kitchenette, and a bathroom. The flat has just been completely renovated with great care and is well equipped (linen, pots, plates, cutlery etc.). There is room for up to five/six persons. A parking lot is situated 60m from the flat.

The neighborhood is delightfully quiet and well provided with public transport. Restaurants, pharmacies and supermarkets are all located nearby, within walking distance. There is a playground for children next to the flat (150m).

Near the house you can visit the following places of historical interest: the main square Piazza Unità d’Italia, the Cathedral and the Castle of San Giusto, Riccardo’s Arch, the ruins of the Roman theatre and several Museums; swimming pools and beaches are quite near.

The apartment is 600m from Piazza Unità d’italia, 500m from San Giusto Castle, 300m from Salus hospital, 1 km from the Lanterna beach, 1.5km from the railway station and the bus station and 3.7 km from Barcola where you can have a nice walk along the seaside up to the Castle of Miramare.

The airport ‘Trieste-Ronchi dei Legionari’ is located 30km from the town centre.

Trieste is an ideal departure point for day trip excursions in several cities in nearby Slovenia and Croatia.

How to get:

By car

From the railway station ( Piazza della Libertà) follow the waterfront (Rive) until you reach Piazza Unità; then turn left on the first intersection (via del Mercato vecchio), make the first right on via Diaz; first left (via Felice Venezian), continue straight going through via Madonna del mare and via della Valle and turn right on via della Cereria. At the corner of via Cereria and via Tigor continue on via Tigor, for about ten meters. Via Tigor 12 will be on your left. For the garage carry on via Tigor.

By bus

In front of the main train station take the bus number 30 to the via Ciamician stop, or bus 24(to the via San Michele stop). The tickets can be bought in the newsstand inside the railway station

By walk

Walk up to Canal Grande along the waterfront; from there it’s all a pedestrian zone: turn left on Gioacchino Rossini, go over a bridge and continue to via della Cassa di Risparmio and Piazza della Borsa. You’ll then arrive in Piazza Unità. From there carry on straight on via San Sebastiano, Piazza e via Cavana until via della Madonna del Mare. You should get up to via Tigor on your right, then take the uphill walk on the left and continue on via Tigor, until you reach via Tigor 12 on your left.

By taxi

You’ll find taxis on the left side of the main railway station; the price for the trip should be about 10,00€, more in the evening and at night.
